On Wednesday, October 12, 2023, at Government Arts and Science College in Tiruthuraipoondi, an event was held under the leadership of Dr. S. Maran, the Principal. Organizers included Dr. B. Karthikeyan, who heads the Department of Business Administration, as well as Dr. N. Panneer Selvam and Dr. R. Nandhini, who coordinate NSS Unit-I & II. Together with their students, they educated the public about the rights conferred by the Right to Information Act (RTI). Their engaging and informative presentations successfully raised awareness, leaving the general public appreciative and enlightened about its significance.

On Friday, August 11, 2023, Government Arts and Science College Tiruthurapoondi organized an anti-drug rally in collaboration with the Prohibition Enforcement Division of the Police Department. The rally commenced from Thiruthurapoondi New Bus Stand and concluded at the Old Bus Stand. Students from NSS Unit 1 and 2 of Thiruthurapundi Government Arts and Science College actively participated in this event. Dr. N. Panneerselvam, the Coordinator of Unit 1, and Dr. R. Nandini, the Coordinator of Unit 2, provided guidance and support to the students throughout the rally.

Government Arts and Science College, Thiruthurapoondi, organized a Temple Campus Cleaning Mission on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at the Thiruthurapoondi Piravimaruntheeswarar Temple. This initiative involved the participation of 60 students from NSS Unit 1 and 2. The dedicated coordinators, Dr. N. Panneerselvam and Dr. R. Nandhini, provided guidance and supervision to the student volunteers on behalf of the college.
